Each year, the Early Learning with Families (ELF) initiative offers free professional development workshops and/or regional meetings around the state to support the sharing of research, new ideas and promising practices related to library services to young children and families. Between March and August of 2018, eight (8) ELF regional meetings were offered around the state. The all-day meetings provided ELF related project updates, as well as an interactive training about our Reimagining School Readiness Toolkit.

An ELF Networking Session is also held each year at the California Library Association's Annual Conference. Here are the details for the 2018 CLA Conference ELF Gathering:

WHEN: Friday evening, November 9, 2018 from 5:30PM until 9:00PM

WHERE: The Great America Ballroom K in the Santa Clara Convention Center

WHAT: Come discover the great ways libraries are serving as centers for early learning. Join us for a free, informal reception with poster sessions highlighting innovative library services and community partnerships that support the developmental needs of young children (0-5), their families and caregivers. Visit with colleagues, grab a light snack, and get inspired about early learning in libraries!

REGISTER AT: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Nov9ELF

Please pre-register for this event to help us plan for food and room capacity. Registration closes: 5:00PM on Friday, October 26.
